Community Involvement
Enginuity involvement in the community and care for the environment is an important example of what sets us apart. Enginuity regularly contributes to goods drives across the country for items such as clothing, blankets and groceries. Enginuity also give generously to fund raising events such as Jeans for Genes Day, Pink Ribbon, Movember, Daffodil Day and many more. We see giving back to the community as a fundamental part of being a member of it. Enginuity is dedicated to making a positive contribution to society through our focus on the environment, our people, responsible business practices, community investment and strengthening the next generation of citizens. We take the wider view that the way business is done matters to our clients. A number of our colleagues actively participate in sporting activities, some representing Australia at state or above levels.
Volunteering and Giving
Enginuity employees regularly volunteer their time and support and participating in a range of community programs. We support our colleagues in their efforts by being provided with annual leave specifically dedicated to working in and for the community.
World Vision
| Fifteen employees of Enginuity got together and decided to sponsor a child through World Vision. Our sponsor child’s name is Latifa Lutfa Yeasmin and she lives in Bangladesh. She is four years old and doesn’t go to school yet. Latifa lives at home with both of her parents, who are unemployed, and her four sisters. Recently her area was badly affected by natural disasters. Our sponsorship is helping her area with healthcare, particularly vaccinations for children, education and training in farming skills. For such a small amount each month we know we are making a big difference. | | |
Jan McGrath Foundation
In 2009, instead of spending money on the production of corporate Christmas Cards, we gave generously to the Jane McGrath Foundation.
Bowel Cancer Australia
In March 2010, Enginuity hosted an evening with Ronnie Muhl, who was the first person to lead the South African expedition to summit Everest in 2007. Ronnie will be leading the Everest 2010 expedition including one of our very own employees, Darren Robertson. Check out their progress at http://www.everest2010.com.au/ Proceeds from all ticket sales go directly to Bowel Cancer Australia.
Heart Foundation
Through the annual city to surf our colleagues participate each year and rally support for the heart foundation. Our employees give generously and over the past two years raised thousands of dollars for this worthwhile charity.
